Marvel’s Wolverine will be arriving late Q3 2026. That’s the official confirmation from the official Marvel YouTube channel. So it’s not too long before you can jump into the story of James Howlett (aka Logan), and search for information about his past.
The new video isn’t really a trailer. Instead, the six-second video features a slash of adamantium claws before revealing Marvel’s Wolverine will be unleashed on September 15. When it comes to an effective date reveal, this is pretty much it. No filler, just facts, as you can see.
Marvel’s Wolverine gameplay
Marvel’s Wolverine is, sadly for owners of other platforms, a PS5 exclusive. However, the details we have for the title suggest it’ll provide a worthy adventure for X-Men and Wolverine fans. A gameplay trailer posted in September 2025 showcases impressive in-game footage and cinematics.
With bloody, brutal, and frenzied combat guaranteed, fans will control Wolverine in and out of his iconic yellow-and-black fit, with guaranteed appearances from familiar faces. The gameplay trailer shows a mix of close-quarters frenzy and large-scale, high-stakes cinema-esque set-pieces.
As for how the actual mechanics of the title will work, it seems likely that fast-paced action and flow will be prioritized for gamers. The top comment (we can get behind) on the gameplay trailer comes from @Grimedoc8180, who states:
“The one game where getting shot multiple times, then crouching behind cover for a few seconds to regain health makes sense lol”.
This makes sense. As a character, Wolverine is part human and part weapon, and we’re sure we’ll see exactly that dynamic explored come September, along with ridiculous recovery times. PS5 fans could have a real gem on their hands (along with plenty of acrobatics and claw-slashing).
