While the Galaxy S26 lineup is being pored over ahead of an official launch, one feature has caught our eye…in how hard it is to see. The S26 Ultra’s privacy display has broken cover in a couple of leaks. And those leaks suggest the display is pretty effective in preventing people from peeking.
Clearly, there are many reasons you wouldn’t want people to see your phone screen. It’s a serious privacy concern, particularly out in public, and the S26 Ultra hopes to help. Usefully, judging by a post on X by Noah Cat (@Cartidise), it appears that the S26 Ultra does exactly that.
S26 Ultra privacy screen wins?
In Noah Cat’s post, separate images with the standard and the maximum privacy protection are shown. The standard option appears to obfuscate fairly well, stopping all but intent snooping. The maximum setting ramps this up, as the image shown in the post appears almost full reflection.
However, this isn’t the only leak that’s surfaced. Tech YouTuber Sahil Karoul has shared a video on X of the S26 Ultra in motion. At the very start, no setting is selected, before the phone’s ‘Privacy Display’ setting is turned on. Once active, it’s clear that there’s a subtle but impactful result.
From what we can see, even without maximum privacy protection enabled, viewing a Galaxy S26 Ultra from a 45-degree angle appears pretty tricky. That’s a solid feature win for the Ultra, given the rumored stagnation of camera tech across the new S26 lineup.
