If today’s Quordle puzzle has you bouncing between grids and second-guessing every guess, you’re not alone. Solving four five-letter words at once is a very different kind of pressure, especially when one answer starts looking “done” while another barely has a letter in place. Below are some spoiler-light hints for today’s Quordle, and if you’d rather skip ahead, the full answers are waiting further down the page.

This guide covers Quordle puzzle #1492, released on Tuesday, February 24.

Hints for today’s Quordle answers

Here are four clues, one for each grid, in order from top-left to top-right, then bottom-left and bottom-right:

  • Top-left hint: Part of a cow
  • Top-right hint: Damaged by fire
  • Bottom-left hint: A cuddly toy (often for kids)
  • Bottom-right hint: Water in a misty, gas-like form

A couple of extra nudges if you need them:

  • Starting letters: U, B, P, V

If you’re ready for the solutions, here they are, top-left to top-right, then bottom-left to bottom-right:

  • UDDER
  • BURNT
  • PLUSH
  • VAPOR

Quick solving tip

If one grid is nearly solved, use it to your advantage. Try a guess that “finishes” that word while also testing new letters for the other three grids. It’s an easy way to get more information per attempt without wasting turns repeating letters you already know.
